Within Canada we see renewed interest and controversy concerning Jesus. This course takes a fresh look at the biblical and non-biblical sources for the ministry and teachings of Jesus. It then provides an historical overview of the Christian and Jewish interpreters of Jesus. With this background the student is prepared for the detailed study of the four New Testament Gospels. The focus is on the relevance of Jesus’ ministry and teachings for the first century and our time.
